Club Activity Description

There are several clubs conducted by teachers that are available once a week on a certain day.  In these clubs, students can sign up and participate in a range of activities. 

 

         Homework Hour

Students that simply seek a quiet place to finish homework can go to Homework Hour.  If a student is not signed up for a club but is at the school after 4:15, they will be assigned Homework Hour until their ride home is available. 

         GYM Games

During this time, students are accompanied to the GYM by a teacher where they interact in many physical games such as Basketball, Soccer, Volley Ball, Football jump-rope, and frisbee toss games.  

         Bingo

During this time, students are engaged in the classic game of BINGO winning prizes such as pencils, erasers stickers, and small toys.

         Crafts Club

Crafts Club is a place where students make different art crafts in groups or individually.

Chess

In chess students can learn the game as well as sharpen their chess skills.  Opportunities to compete in separate school, city-wide and state tournaments throughout the year are also available.  

Orchestra & Music Club

In this club students can receive additional practice on their instruments. 

Art

Art enthused students from beginners to advanced can come after school to receive more personal attention as well as have the opportunity to compete in several art contests. 

         Movie

If not participating in GYM Games, a movie is available to watch on Wednesdays.  Each week a   different movie will be played in different rooms.
