Early Elementary

Learning isn't one-size-fits-all — and neither are we. We meet every child exactly where they are, cultivate a genuine love of learning, and make sure each student walks into 3rd grade prepared, confident, and excited for what's next.
🌟 Welcome to Something Different. Welcome to Pegasus. We believe the early years of learning should be magical — and at Pegasus, we've reimagined everything to make sure they are.
Our Kindergarten through 2nd Grade program has been thoughtfully redesigned to spark curiosity, nurture confidence, and build a genuine love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Here's What Your Child's Days Will Look Like:🎵 Music & Art — Creative expression woven into everyday learning, giving every child a chance to discover their unique voice and talents.
✏️ Creative Writing — Storytelling and imagination take center stage as young writers find the joy in putting their ideas on the page.
🔬 STEM Challenges — Age-appropriate, hands-on adventures in science, technology, engineering, and math that make kids excited to problem-solve.
🧩 Extended Play — Active & Quiet — Because play is learning. We honor the whole child with meaningful time to move, explore, imagine, and simply be a kid.
🚌 Downtown Field Trips & Real-World Experiences — Learning doesn't stop at the classroom door! Students step into their community and bring their lessons to life in ways they'll never forget.
📊 Every Child, Every Level — No One Left Behind — We know every child walks through our doors with their own unique strengths and starting points. Through a powerful blend of whole-group and small-group instruction, our teachers meet every learner exactly where they are — and work tirelessly to ensure each student enters 3rd grade confident, capable, and ready to soar.

Small Environment. Big Possibilities. At Pegasus, your child isn't just another face in the crowd. They are known, valued, and celebrated every single day — in a warm, intimate setting designed for them to flourish.
This is where curious minds come to grow. We can't wait to welcome your family! 🐎✨
Why Does Creativity and Extended Physical Activity Matter?

Creativity allows students to:
  • Become better problem solvers and improve critical thinking skills.
  • Increases engagement and motivation in education.
  • Students learn to see mistakes not as failures but as opportunities for new ideas.

Increased physical activity and play helps students by:
  • Boosting blood flow to the brain, improving focus and cognitive performance.
  • Better behavior and decreased restlessness.
  • Movement reduces anxiety and depression, and boosts self-esteem.
  • Active play fosters teamwork, friendship, and conflict-resolution skills.
While technology undoubtedly plays a significant role in our daily lives, research suggests that students thrive academically through traditional, hands-on learning with paper and pencil; therefore, we will be limiting technology use in the classroom primarily to STAAR test preparation, ensuring our students are both well-prepared for standardized testing and grounded in the proven, foundational methods of learning.
