Experiential Learning for Hands on Education

• Pegasus School of Liberal Arts places a high priority on Experiential Learning, facilitating and encouraging "learning by doing" through frequent, free out-of-classroom experiences for all students. The school views its location in the heart of Downtown Dallas as a learning laboratory, leveraging the area’s rich resources to provide firsthand experience that strengthens observation and improves information retention.
  

• These regular field trips are integral to the K-12 curriculum, connecting classroom-acquired knowledge to the real world. Specifically, students often visit institutions like the Perot Museum of Nature and Science to engage with hands-on labs and scientific exhibits, the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) for exposure to creativity and fine arts history, and the Audubon Center (often implied as part of nature/outdoor learning) for environmental education. For younger students (K-7), the curriculum frequently includes trips to places such as the Texas Discovery Gardens and the Dallas Zoo, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn outside the traditional classroom walls at no cost to the learner.
