Where Creativity Meets College Readiness
Empowering students to express themselves through art, music, or written expression while building the foundation for a four year college future.
At Pegasus, we have reimagined our high school curriculum to focus on pathways that allow students to explore their creativity through the fine arts.

Why choose Pegasus High School Program?
  • Students are allowed to express their creativity through one of three chosen pathways.
  • Over 80% of Pegasus graduating students are accepted to a 4-year college and 100% have a higher education plan in place.
  • Individualized help and guidance to apply to college.
  • Small school size allows for individualized attention for students.
  • Student will earn an industry based certificate in Adobe Certified Professional in Graphic Design and Illustration Using • Adobe Illustrator that helps with 4-year college acceptance.
  • Dual Credit classes offered through on-ramps on campus.
  • Students have an opportunity to take dual credit classes at El Centro Community College.

How Pegasus Guides Students to a 4 Year College

  • Pegasus takes sophomores, juniors, and seniors on multiple college trips during the year.
  • Students are guided through the Apply Texas application process in class.
  • Parent meeting is conducted to help students and parents fill out the FASFA.
  • The school helps students with waivers for application fees.
  • Students have TSI Prep for the Math and English tests.

Why is creativity important?

Creativity allows students to:
  • Become better problem solvers.
  • Improve critical thinking skills.
  • Increases engagement and motivation in education.
  • Students learn to see mistakes not as failures but as opportunities for new ideas.

What are the three pathways available?

  • Visual Arts: Examples of Classes: Art 1, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Graphic Design and Illustration.
  • Music: Students can choose between choir and guitar, in addition to taking piano. Students will also take Graphi Design and Ilustration.
  • Creative Expression: Creative writing, Humanities to study and create writing stories as form of creative and artistic expression, Art, Photography, Photojournalism and Graphic Design and Illustration.
