 Grades 8-12

Beginning in August 2021, the Upper Campus location will no longer be housed in the YMCA building.  Students K-12 will be located at a centralized location off Akard and Field. Visit our Centralized Location page for more information.

If you are interested in a tour please reach out via our Contact Us page.

Curriculum 8-12

  • Our Upper Campus focuses on preparing every student for college through detailed pathways for dual credit classes and guided steps for the college application process.
  • Every student continues their musical education and can choose between Percussion, Choir, or Guitar. In addition to learning to play an instrument or sing, students learn about the impact of music on shaping the world around us.
  • In addition to music, our Upper Campus Visual Arts classes are robust, and offer interested students the ability to explore multiple mediums and compete across the state.

College Prep

We offer multiple ways for your student to prepare for a successful future.

Options include
  •  The Dual credit program through El Centro
  • College Core Curriculum  classes trough  University of Texas OnRamps program
  • Subsidized SAT/ACT testing

At Pegasus, every student has the potential to have a
year of college or a technical certification completed by high school graduation.

“As a freshmen, I wanted to go to college but didn’t have a plan. Once I was told about my options, I knew my dreams of becoming a lawyer were attainable.” Morgan 11th Grade

 P squared - Project Weeks

The Upper Campus hosts an annual project week for all grades.

Students in grades 8-10 study a topic that integrates all subjects together for a comprehensive approach on the topic selected. Students participate in hands on projects and field trips relevant to the week's focus.

The 11th and 12th grade students take their project week off campus on a week long camping trip. Students  spend the week exploring the history and nature that Texas has to offer.

Outdoor Enchanted Rock

“If it wasn’t for Pegasus I would not have found out that I love camping. I am passing this love of camping down to my 4 yr old nephew so he can learn to love the outdoors as much as I do.”
