K-5 Curciulum

  • We believe a strong academic foundation is built in an understanding of English, Science, Math and Social Studies. Our Lower school focuses on the fundamentals to provide a pathway to academic success.
  • Fine Arts is a staple of Pegasus Curriculum. We emphasize learning various media such as drawing, painting, mixed media, and 3-Dimensional works. Valuing process over product, students are encouraged to view mistakes in a positive light and as a critical component of the creative process.
  • Students learn first- hand from experiences. Students K-5 often go off campus for field trips. Additionally Pegasus brings in educational organizations on campus including the Perot Museum and Dallas Zoo.
“Pegasus works hard to support each student and each family. Being a small environment allows families to receive the personal attention and support that many families need.”
-Pegasus Parent

6-7 Curriculum

  • Our 6-7 grades focus on increasing academic rigor to prepare for high school,  ongoing standardized testing, and  developing independent thought.
  • Every student chooses their musical passion; Percussion, Choir, or Guitar. In addition to learning to play an instrument or sing, the students learn music theory, music history and how music has shaped culture. In addition to music all students take visual arts classes to further develop creative skills.
  • Students 6-7 learn hands-on through first-hand experience at places such as the Texas Discovery Gardens, Dallas Children's Theater, Lake Lewisville, Perot Science Museum, Dallas Zoo and many more.

“Pegasus has inspired me to always keep up my music craft. I chose pegasus because I  wanted to get involved with the choir class here. Pegasus prepares  the student for life after graduation because I can inspire other people on how music works. My proudest part of Pegasus is performing in choir the four years I have been at this school.”
